On May 26th Twin Boros Scholarship Foundation hosted a five-kilometer (5K) fun run fundraiser on the streets of Bound Brook. A little over one hundred participants showed up for the race and were comprised of a good mix of leisurely participants and competitive ones. The 5K was held on the same course as the Criterium Bike Race, which took place later on the same day.
The positive energy about the event was palpable at the finish line. Music emanating from one of the race sponsor’s setups offered a lively soundtrack as participants, volunteers, families and friends gathered with refreshments and goodies in hand while prizes were distributed to top finishers. The event was a lightning rod of attention for the Twin Boros Scholarship Foundation’s commitment to supporting higher education. The event netted over $1400 dollars to go towards Twin Boros’ scholarships. The community, sponsors, participants, and the Twin Boros’ Board of Trustees are excited by the potential of making this a recurring event.
